Intro
If you're here, you're probably someone interested in cosplay and how to incorporate your whole family into this cultural phenomenon. Whether you're a seasoned cosplayer or just starting out, a talented sewer or prefer to cobble pieces together, cosplay can be tons of fun for the entire family. When you add kids to the equation, nothing can compare to the educational benefits of designing, creating, and imagining that come with cosplay. Cosplaying as a family can be a great way to bond while learning new skills you wouldn't have learned otherwise. So what are you waiting for? Costumes aren't just for Halloween anymore, and playing pretend isn't just for kids!
Here at Kiddie Cosplay, our mission is to share ideas for family cosplaying as well as sharing our projects. If you'd like to submit your family cosplaying projects, email them to jbrohinsky@gmail.com with the subject "Kiddie Cosplay." We would love to share build photos and final products. We'd love to know if a particular project had any special significance, taught you something or helped you bond with family members. (To get the ball rolling, I've shared my latest project: Officer Jenny and Growlithe. We went to the Rhode Island Comic Con with these homemade costumes and had a blast!)
